The “Bounty of Benton County” event begins with a kick-off concert at Tyee Wine Cellars Friday, September 4th featuring Bon Ton Roulet. Gates open at 5:30, music starts at 6. Bon Ton Roulet grooves high-energy zydeco, Cajun, and folk music together. Sam Holmes and Andrea Myhre will be joining the band with their lovely harmonies.
Food and wine will be available for purchase. Entrance is free with the purchase of a “Bounty of Benton County” passport or $7 without. Please note, no alcohol will be allowed, other than wine purchased from the tasting room. No pets are permitted.
The “Bounty of Benton County” is a celebration of what rural Benton County has to offer – while helping to support programs for rural Benton County Families. Passports will be on sale in August at the Corvallis Tourism office, Spindrift Cellars and the Benton County Historical Museum in Philomath, outside the Saturday Corvallis Farmers Market and at various tour sites.
Passport holders can travel to 15 sites over Labor Day weekend to enjoy wine tastings, music, displays by local artists, and sample local foods. Kids’ activities include scavenger hunts, fish printing, hiking, raptor presentations from Chintimini Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and more! Sites include John Boy’s Mercantile, Tyee Vineyards, Emerson Vineyards, Sunrise Tree Farms, Beazell Memorial Forest, Benton County Historical Museum, Gateway Gallery, Green Gable Gardens, Spindrift Cellars, Hazelnut Hill, Harris Bridge Vineyards, Lumos Wine Company, Alsea Fish Hatchery, the Wine Vault, and the Alsea Anagama Kiln. These sites all feature something special.
