Supplies for Schools

In the summer of 2008, seventeen churches and several businesses collected school supplies for teachers in their classrooms. Teachers often spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets each year for supplies. Because budgets continue to be cut, the 2008-2009 school year will be even more difficult for the classroom.

During the summer months, churches will again have the opportunity to collect items for a School Supply Give-Away for local elementary and middle schools. The Give-Away will take place during the first week of September (2009). If you or your church would like to donate school supplies or a cash gift for this project, contact us. Here is a list of items needed.

You will of course receive a receipt for tax purposes.

If you are looking for information about more ways to help our schools, the website www.waypointcorvallis.com is designed to be an informative tool for people interested in the fundraising aspect of schools in the 509J (Corvallis) district.
