Our Christmas Store and Christmas Afterglow are once again completed for this Season. It is always an amazing time of joy, generosity, kindness, hope, gifts and more.
This year a total of 42 families chose to earn their volunteer vouchers and be able to shop at the Store. The number of vouchers earned was 492. That is a lot of gifts for our Neighbors in Need. Parents and children alike love to come and shop and choose gifts for their loved ones.
Afterglow is for people who cannot volunteer for various reasons and/or are new to Love INC and unaware of the Store opportunity. Word of mouth travels quickly in this season, and we had every slot filled at Afterglow. There were 50 families who attended this event.
Afterglow also allows us the opportunity to bless single parents, seniors and people who are disabled. Sometimes we add 'extra gifts' for them. Smile. There were 370 vouchers used at Afterglow!
THANKS for your kind generosity in blessing our Neighbors in Need. Thanks to a craftsman that made a stable and manger for our use. It was a wonderful reminder of Jesus!
THANKS to all of our volunteers who worked those days and also THANKS to Corvallis Foursquare Church for letting us use their campus! We could not have done this without ALL of you!
THANKS to the teams from Santiam Christian that came and sang or played instruments or helped us tear down. We are so grateful for you. Your gifts of giving were invaluable.
PRAYERS~~Almost everyone who visited either event stopped for prayers. As a staff, as we prepared for this event, one of our requests of our Lord was that His Presence would be manifest. It was. People are so 'real' as they come for prayer. Not many are wearing 'masks'; they are just honest. Our volunteers who 'prayed with' always love this time. Connections are made and care and love is imparted. Several times we had two or three groups of prayer happening simultaneously. It was amazing!
His PRESENCE imparts light, bringing people to taste HOPE. Let us 'walk in the light as He is in the light" and impart HOPE daily. Our gift back to GOD for sending us Jesus!
