And days that I do cry
Asking reasons why
Adult children, living in the damages of yesterday
where they had no say
about what happened to them
and now they are told to try and try
And live healthier, better lives
than the adults before them.
Unjust.
Where were the real helps when needed?
Child crying, asking why...
lost in their incomprehensible days...
Young adult, tough and cocky until...
the brokenness of pain catches them unawares
and they catapult into harm again
And the cycle continues...
Hope? Love? Foreign languages
Not understood or trusted
And where then, is this Truth in their lives?
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
Lord, have mercy..." (by LC).
YES, we see this happen in families we work with. The pain is real. The 'lostness' also is real. People do not always have the skills and the information and the helps to 'do life' well. This is why it is so extremely important that people who DO have light and Hope and Love and Truth come alongside people who are perhaps broken, but also longing for 'life and life more abundant!"
"Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with Him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant...you groped your way through that murk once, but no longer. Your out in the open now. The bright light of Christ makes your way plain. So no more stumbling around...get on with it! ...So watch your step. Use your head. MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. These are desperate times! Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants. (From Eph. 5 The Message).
There are people all around us who want out of the murk and into the light. It is hard to change, to be transformed. We need more speakers of HOPE and LIFE! We need churches to 'adopt' families and individuals and be willing to walk through the messy process of change. Lives depend on this. Yes, truthfully. If interested, call me. I have stories to tell. We welcome people who are willing to 'be in the tranches' and love people whom God loves.
AND we are so thankful for all of those who ARE doing this. We just need MORE of this life giving happening. Thanks for listening.
